Is this honestly my first review of Island Vintage Coffee? It's one of those things where you forget to rate your faves bc it's so established in your mind and in your habits.
Island Vintage Coffee is the best!! From their presentation to the desserts and the food, everything here is delicious. The iced island latte is perfect on hot days and their açaí bowls are the BEST! The consistency is always perfect, smooth and sweet, with little bites of crunchy granola and local island honey drizzled on top.
I'm a meat eater through and through but their VEGAN POKE is spectacular. SO full of flavor and bursting with good-for-you ingredients like purple Okinawa sweet potatoes, avocado, beets, limu, and that spicy little kick and poi on top.
This was the first restaurant I went to when I arrived in Hawaii and remains one of my absolute faves. -

LOVE their Acai Bowls! Everything we got here was pretty good!
Why I was here // came with the girls for a morning breakfast before starting our Waikiki Hawaii adventures!
Atmosphere // Since there was quite a few of us, we ended up taking the entire bar area in the restaurant/wine bar side. It was pretty cool that the table was this giant wooden slab.
Food //
OMG the acai bowls really are a must get here!
I also had their iced tea with pineapple sherbert which was tasty and one of their plates which was filling!
Overall // This was such a nice spot of breakfast with the bride tribe. -

I truly love visiting island vintage coffee whenever I am here on business or for pleasure. No visit would be complete without a stop here. Yes, it's true that The lines here in the morning are always obnoxiously long. Be prepared for a wait! I see many in the line with earbuds in just enjoying music and the beautiful scenery. How could anyone complain when you're in such a magical place! They opened up what appears to be a wine bar with dine in restaurant setting just next door. This last visit I was somewhat confused regarding the difference in ordering from the original island vintage coffee ( where you have to stand in the super long lines) and the restaurant. You're always so busy and smiles seem to come few and far between with this place so I can be intimidating if one has a question. I was there for seven days add midway through my stay I decided to walk inside the restaurant to inquire about the differences. I was told that if you wanted to die inside the restaurant you would wait to be seated and everything must be enjoyed while dining inside the restaurant. No option to order Takeaway there.
Dearest management, with all due respect and, in the upmost aloha spirit, it is clear to me that most people in the long line are opting to dine in. If 1/4 or less of your customers are in the line for Takeaway, why not offer the option for them to do so in your beautiful new restaurant just next-door. This makes 100% total sense given that you require your customers to go and stand in front of the restaurant to wait for their take-out order with a number in hand. And, everyone standing there numbers in hand always have a look of confusion on their face because your staff does not greet anyone or acknowledge the fact that they are waiting for a take-out order. The least your staff I do after one wait in a line to patronize your business for 30 minutes or more is to say aloha and or thank you for waiting. -

If you are in Honolulu, you have to try their açaí bowls. They are hands down the best in the island. The ingredients are all organic and the presentation is beautiful. Sometimes there is a line and you have to fight for empty tables otherwise everything is 5 stars.

Go for the drinks and smoothies but stay for the Poke bowls! Yup you heard me right. If you like a good poke bowl then you need to hit Island Vintage Coffee for their poke bowls. Sure they are pricier than your average poke bowl at say Foodland, or some of those other places that do it. But for sashimi grade meat, sign me up. My favorite is the Hawaiian limu ahi with the mixed grain rice. You know that purplish looking rice you get when you hit those Korean restaurants? Yup, same stuff.
Top it off with a nice smoothie after you're done. I always prefer that green looking one, I can't recall if it's called a green papaya or not but essentially it's a kale smoothie because it has kale in it. Sounds gross but it's actually really good and that green stuff will make you feel stronger throughout the day.
